This petition has been filed to transfer the case in crime No.2697 of 2014 on the file of the 2nd respondent police to any other investigation agency more appropriately CBCID, Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. On a reading of the complaint, it is seen that the petitioner was handed over Rs.10,55,000/- by some unknown person near Evening Bazaar on 15.12.2014 and thereafter, it is alleged by the petitioner that he was intercepted by two persons near PORR & Sons, Mount Road and the money was taken by them. Since the identity of the accused has not been revealed by the petitioner, the police are proceeding with the investigation.
4. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to expeditiously conduct the investigation to apprehend the offenders and take action in accordance with law.
