Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records issued by the second respondent with G.O.Ms.5/2010wel/SCW.II dated 16.04.2010, quash the same and direct the respondents to extend the benefit meant for SC people to the Pondicherry SC people alone as defined in S.2(f) of the Union Territories Act.

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the parties today agreed that the issue in question will be governed by the judgment of the Supreme Court in Puducherry Scheduled Caste People Welfare Association vs. Chief Secretary to Government, Union Territory of Pondicherry and Others [(2014) 9 SCC 236] and thus, the issue raised in the petition is no more res integra.
