The present civil revision petition is filed by the petitioners for striking out their names in D.V.C. No.12 of 2021 pending on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge, Tiruchencode. The first respondent herein has filed the above domestic violence case before the Sub Court, Tiruchencode, as against her husband, who was arrayed as the second respondent herein and her in-laws, namely the revision petitioners herein.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would contend that on 28.09.2022, divorce was granted by the learned Subordinate Judge, Tiruchencode in HMOP No.199 of 2020. The learned counsel further submitted that after the divorce, the first respondent, namely Kiruthika Vadivu and the second respondent Deepan Vijay, have got married as per their choice. The first respondent got married on 21.08.2023 and the second respondent got married on 21.10.2024. As the husband and wife, who were on the loggerheads, got divorce from the Sub Court, Tiruchencode and the present application is filed by the in-laws of the first respondent as against the domestic violence proceedings pending on the file of Sub Court, Tiruchencode, though the allegations are made against the husband and formal allegations are made Page 2/4

against the revision petitioners herein and when a decree divorce has been granted between the husband and wife, there is nothing survives for adjudication against the revision petitioners.

3. Recording the same, the proceedings initiated as against the revision petitioners in D.V.C. No.12 of 2021 pending on the file of Sub Court, Tiruchencode, are set aside in the above terms and the civil revision petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petition is closed.
