ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondents, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of petitioners Appeal dated 23.12.2025 taken in file as Na.Ka.C1/4841/2025.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner married late Srinivasan on 24.08.1998 and they gave birth to a child on 11.07.2002. The petitioner's husband had illegal affair with one Sumathi, w/o Ravi and on coming to know about the same, Sumathi's husband abandoned Sumathi and later, the petitioner's husband committed suicide on 13.09.2023. It is the grievance of the petitioner the while applying legal heir certificate before the second respondent, the said Sumathi had objected for issuance of legal heir certificate and the said application was rejected by the second respondent on 24.04.2025. As against the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the first respondent dated 23.12.2025 which is pending without consideration. Hence, seeks for a direction.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate and perused the materials placed on record.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the first respondent to consider the appeal of the petitioner dated 23.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
