ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the First Information Report registered in Crime No.2 of 2023 for the alleged offences under Section 7, 7-A and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Page No.1 of 4

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that after investigation, the respondent police have found that the evidence gathered so far are not enough to prosecute the petitioner/accused No.2 and thereby recommending action to cancel the license the final report has been filed. Further, recommending appropriate departmental proceedings as against the 1st accused, the closure report has now been filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Special Judge, Nagapattinam, on 05.07.2024, and the same is being considered by the said Court.
