ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue a legal heirship certificate based on the application submitted by the petitioner on 25.01.2025. 2/6

The case of the petitioner is that his Aunt (mother's elder sister) Pappammal W/o.Late Shanmugam expired on 03.10.2016. They did not have any issues. The petitioner as the class II legal heir had applied for legal heir ship certificate on 25.02.2025 before the respondent. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on receipt of the representation, the respondent issued a notice dated 09.05.2025 directing the petitioner's to appear for an enquiry on 14.05.2025 at 11.00 a.m. Accordingly, the petitioner has also appeared for the enquiry. Thereafter, no orders were passed.

The learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the respondent will deal with the application submitted by the petitioner strictly in line with GO Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024 and pass orders within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioner in accordance with relevant Government Order within a period of four weeks from 3/6

the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
