O R D E R

The petitioner, arrayed as A3, had a case registered against her in Crime No.183 of 2022 and was granted anticipatory bail in Crl.M.P.No.3826 of 2023 by this Court on 06.10.2023. One of the condition was that the petitioner should submit her passport before the learned special Court for CCB & CBCID Cases, 1/4

Egmore. she was further directed to furnish security worth Rupees One Crore, which was duly complied with. Subsequently, the condition imposed in the anticipatory bail was modified in Crl.M.P.No.16203 of 2024, and the same is extracted hereunder:

"5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions, a direction is issued to the learned Sessions Jude, Special Court for CCB and CBCID cases, Egmore, to return the passport of the petitioner bearing No.U178846, which is valid til 21.11.2019. After return from the USA, the petitioner shall re-deposit her passport on or before 20.01.2025 before the concerned court."

2. This Court, in Crl.M.P.No.6169 of 2025 in Crl.O.P.No.4976 of 2023, had granted time for re-depositing the petitioner's passport, which was extended upto 15.07.2025. However, due to certain unavoidable reasons, the petitioner was unable to re-submit the passport before the Lower Court. Hence, the petitioner has filed the above petition seeking a direction to the Trial Court to receive her passport.

3. In the meanwhile, on 23.07.2025,the petitioner filed a memo along with the passport and directions, seeking the Lower Court to receive the passport. The same is extracted below:

As per the Hon'ble High Court order in Crl.M.P.No.6169 of 2025, dated 09.04.2025, passport to be deposited before this Court upto 15.07.2025. Already time period is lapsed. Hence returned".

4. In view of the above, this Court directed the learned Special Court for CCB&CBCID cases, Egmore, to receive the passport and to keep it in the safe custody of the court.

5. Accordingly, this petition is allowed, and the time for re-deposing the petitioner's passport bearing No.U1718846 is extended by a further period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 28.07.2025 nvi To
