ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's Application dated 24.3.2016 for the grant of Contract Carrige Maxi Cab permit in respect of vehicle No.TN-02/AM-7201 (dealt with R.No.20661/A2/2016) forthwith.

2. Mr.P.V. Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application in accordance with law.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to receive the application of the petitioner dated 24.03.2016 for the grant of Maxi Cab permit and consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
