O R D E R

The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(a) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.478 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of illicit arrack. Hence, the complaint was registered.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was found in possession of illicit arrack. He would further submit that there is seven previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the above fact and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner had committed serious offence and that there is seven previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
