This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner & her family members.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the wife of one Srinivasan. The said Srinivasan was engaged in the business of construction of Houses. He had entered into an agreement with one V.Rajendran. During the course of the contract, the petitioner's husband Srinivasan passed away on 21.04.2021. Thereafter, the said Rajendran had given a false complaint alleged that the petitioner's husband availed services of V.Rajendran in construction of buildings and has to pay about Rs.2 Crore to him. He would further submit that the petitioner has nothing do
with the business and being a widow, the respondents are unnecessarily harassing the petitioner.

In reply, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (crl. side) would submit that on the complaint given by one Rajendran, enquiry has been conducted in C.No.10019/SPGDP/CPT/2022 and the same is pending on the file of the second respondent. He would further submit that the respondents are not harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
4. In view of the above, direction is issued to the respondents to conduct enquiry and complete the same as early as possible. If the complaint makes out the case of Civil in nature, the respondents shall close the complaint without any delay.
5. It is made clear that the respondents shall not unnecessarily harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
