ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.Kumarappan J.) The present writ petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to remove the encroachment in market street to an extent of 5x50 feet in Survey No.555/474 Government Road Survey No.548 and Ariyalur to Trichy Road to an extent of 15x10 feet.

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. When the matter is taken up, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent Municipality would submit that the subject encroachment has already been removed. Learned Additional Government Pleader would state that in respect of highways encroachments, the authorities will initiate suitable action, if not already initiated. 4.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. The authorities are directed to ensure that the encroachments are removed by following the procedures. No costs.
