ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for records and quash the first information report pending investigation in Crime No.182 of 2013 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Tamil Nadu Civil supplies C.I.D, Patravakkam Police Station, Patravakkam, Ambattur, Chennai -53.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and a final report was filed before the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

3. However, in view of the change in jurisdiction, the final report has to go before the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai. A communication to that effect made by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, dated 04.06.2019 is also available on record.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to immediately transfer the entire final report pertaining to Crime No.182 of 2013 to the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On receipt of the final report, the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, shall take cognizance and act in accordance with law.
