ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by Mrs.A.Sathiya Bama seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to allow her to join the post of P.G.Assistant Home Science as per the order of appointment issued in Na.Ka.No.68701/W3/S2/2014 dated 30.08.2014 without insisting for Government Order for equivalence with all consequential benefits on par with the date of appointment of other candidates selected along with the petitioner based on her representation dated 12.5.2015.
2. Mrs.M.E.Rani Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, having passed B.Sc. Home Science (Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics) from Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 1999, also acquired M.Sc. Home Science in the year 2001 and also further qualified with B.Ed., in the year 2005. While so, although she was selected by the third respondent and issued with the order of appointment by the second respondent, when five persons including the petitioner were appointed by the second respondent, four of them were allowed to join duty. But the petitioner alone was not permitted to join duty in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Triplicane, Chennai. Although the appointment order dated 30.8.2014 specifying the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Triplicane, Chennai was issued directing the respondents to allow her to join in the post of P.G.Assistant Home Science, she was not allowed to join duty, therefore, she has given a representation to the first respondent on 12.5.2015.
4. This Court, finding that when four other similarly placed persons were allowed to join duty in the post of P.G.Assistant, without going to the merits of the matter, hereby directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.5.2015 and pass appropriate orders within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2015 is closed. No costs.
