This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed praying to condone the delay of 201 days in filing the criminal appeal as against the sentence and conviction order passed in SC.No.287 of 2018 dated 18.07.2019 on the file of the Mahila Court / Special Court for Cases under POCSO Act / Children's Court, Chennai.

2. Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, learned Government Advocate (crl.side) takes notice for the respondent and made a submission as he is not having any objection in allowing this petition. Further, the present petition has been filed to condone the delay of 201 days in filing the criminal appeal as against the conviction and sentence passed in SC.No.287 of 2018 dated 18.07.2019 on the file of the Mahila Court, Special Court for Cases under POCSO Act/Children's Court, Chennai.

3. Being the reason the petitioner is intended to file an appeal as against the order of conviction, this Court is inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, delay is 1/4

condoned and this criminal miscellaneous petition is allowed. Registry is directed to number the criminal appeal, if it is otherwise in order. 29.04.2022 lok 2/4
