ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 1.3.2018 for replacement of the vehicle bearing Registration No.PY-01/S-2345 plying on the route "Pondicherry to Neyveli" by the vehicle bearing Registration No.PY-01/T-9599.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a stage carrier operator with inter-State Permit on the route "Pudhucherry to Neyveli" in respect of the vehicle bearing registration No.PY-01/S-2345. Considering the condition of such vehicle and the cost of repairs to be met out, the petitioner intended to replace the said vehicle with a latest one bearing registration No.PY-01/T-9599 and in this regard, he had moved the Authority with his application and since there is no response for the same, he has moved this court.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submits that the petitioner's application is under process.

4. In view of the limited relief sought for without expressing anything on the merits of the application made by the petitioner, this court disposes the writ petition with a direction to the respondent to

3/4 consider the application of the petitioner for renewal of the Permit in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
