ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for renewal of permit in respect of the petitioner's stage carriage PY-01/S-2345 plying on the route "Pondicherry to Neyveli"for a period of five years from 1.3.2015 to 28.2.2020.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a stage carrier operator with inter-State Permit on the route "Pudhucherry to Neyveli". The respondents have granted renewal for the Permit from time to time and it was accordingly renewed upto 28.2.2010 and the petitioner has made his further application for renewal for the period from 1.3.2015 to 28.2.2020 and the same is still https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending with the respondents and hence, the petitioner has approached this court.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submits that the petitioner's application is under process.

4. In view of the limited relief sought for without expressing anything on the merits of the application made by the petitioner, this court disposes the writ petition with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for renewal of the Permit in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
