ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 17.07.2019, within a time limit fixed by this Court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property and he applied for a Patta before the 1st respondent and the same was rejected by the 1st respondent by proceedings dated 12.07.2019. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent under Section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that the appeal has not been considered till date and therefore, the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions.

3.Heard Mr.A.Mohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 17.07.2019, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with a copy of the appeal dated 17.07.2019 and a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
