The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to take necessary action against the second respondent and recover the compensation amount of Rs.3,84,506/- with interest at 12% p.a. from 09.03.2012 till the date of realization under the Revenue Recovery Act.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Deputy Commissioner of Labour - 2, Chennai, by order dated 21.10.2016 in WC.No.269 of 2015, awarded a sum of Rs.3,84,506/- with interest at 12%p.a. towards compensation to the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for the injuries sustained by him in a road accident, payable by the second respondent insurance company, within a period of 30 days from the date of order. Since the said order was not complied with, the Deputy Commissioner of Labour -II, Chennai, on 20.08.2019, directed the first respondent to recover the compensation amount from the second respondent under the Revenue Recovery Act. Even thereafter, nothing happened till date in relation to settlement of compensation to the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition.

3.On the other hand, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent fairly submitted that the insurance company would pay the compensation awarded to the petitioner, as directed by the Deputy Commissioner of Labour -II, Chennai, within a period of four weeks from today.

4.Recording the said statement made by the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to settle the compensation amount to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from today. The first respondent shall ensure the compliance of the said direction by the second respondent within the stipulated time. No costs.
