O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent-Police to conduct further investigation in the case in F.I.RNo.111 of 2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that the petitioner's son committed suicide. In this regard, the petitioner's wife had already filed a complaint before the third respondent-Police and the same was registered in Crime No.111 of 2023 and subsequently the same was closed as "action dropped" and a final report has been filed before the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Puducherry. The petitioner, who is the father of the deceased has filed this criminal original petition seeking a direction to the first respondent-Police to investigate the case further in F.I.RNo.111 of 2023.

4. Though the petitioner is not a party to the said complaint, he has to be examined being the father of the deceased. Therefore, the respondent-Police is directed to serve a copy of the final report to the petitioner. On receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition before the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Puducherry. On filing of such protest petition by the petitioner as an aggrieved party, the learned Magistrate is directed to deal with the petition in accordance with law.

5. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
