Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to strictly implement and enforce the provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, within the territorial limits of Tiruppur city in a timebound manner and directing the respondents to forthwith cease dumping of unsegregated municipal solid waste in abandoned quarries or any unauthorized locations and to ensure scientific processing and disposal strictly in accordance with statutory mandates and directing the 2nd respondent to review the performance of the contract awarded to the 4th respondent and take appropriate action in accordance with law, including suspension or termination in the event of continued statutory or contractual non-compliance and directing an independent environmental impact assessment of the affected areas and to initiate necessary remedial and restoration measures in accordance with the "Polluter Pays Principle".
