ORDER

Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to

consider his representation dated 19.5.2017 for cancellation of patta in respect of lands measuring an extent of 34 cents in Survey No.989/1, 86 cents in Survey NO.989/2, 97 cents in Survey No.989/3, 4 cents in Survey No.991/1 and 45 cents in Survey No.991/2 and 2.23 acres in Survey No.991/3, situated at Chennathur Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issue patta to him, within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2017, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far.

4. Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
