Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to measure the petitioner's land viz., Survey Nos.255/4 and 255/6 to an extent of 96 cents of lands in Nagiyampatti Village, Gengavalli Taluk, Salem District by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2023 and the same within a time stipulated by this court.

This writ petition is filed to direct the third respondent to measure the petitioner's land viz., Survey Nos.255/4 and 255/6 to an extent of 96 cents of lands in Nagiyampatti Village, Gengavalli Taluk, Salem District by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2023 and the same within a time stipulated by this court.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was acquired by way of registered settlement deed dated 11.06.2018 and the revenue authorities also issued manual patta in favour of the petitioner. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the petitioner has given a representation on 21.11.2023 to survey the said property and demarcate its boundaries. However, the same has not been considered by the third respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the third 2/4

respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation for survey of the property and demarcate the boundaries after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
