Writ Petition under article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in these circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Presiding Officer of the IInd Additional Labour Court to pass an order to issue the final Award in the above said I.D.No.139 of 2018 within 3 months time from the date of order of this Honourable High Court(WP.No.12531 of 2021) Order: This Petition coming on for Extension of time on the Fifteenth day of December Two Thousand Twenty One and perusing the earlier order dated 11/06/2021 and letter dated 03/12/2021 vide ID.No.139/2018 from the Presiding officer, II Additional Labour Court, Chennai, this Court made the following order: This Writ Petition is listed under the caption 'for extension of time.'

2.On 11.06.2021, this Court has passed the following order in W.P.No.12531 of 2021 as follows;

"6.In view of the facts and circumstances, the II Additional Labour Court, Chennai is directed to proceed with the trial for the early disposal of the industrial dispute in I.D.No.139 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner as well as the respondent are directed to co-operate for the early disposal of the industrial dispute and the II Additional Labour Court shall not grant unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties on flimsy grounds. Even in case of adjournments on genuine ground, the reasons must be recorded by the II Additional Labour Court."

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing the Presiding Officer, II Additional Labour Court, Chennai has submitted a letter dated 03.12.2021 to the Registry requesting for extension of two months time to dispose of I.D.No.139/2018.

4.Accordingly, the time to dispose of the I.D.No.139/2018 is extended for a period of two months.
