Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to issue patta to the petitioner for his land measuring 1411 sq.ft., bearing Plot No.72 A, comprised in S.No.115 of Nerkundram Village, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai District with House thereon with E.B.Connection and lying within the registration district of Chennai South and Sub Registration District of Virugambakkam, by considering his online application dated 21.02.2024.
For Petitioners : Mr.A.Ilayaperumal For Respondents : Mr.A.Selvendran Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER These writ petitions are filed for a direction to the 5th respondent to issue patta to the petitioners for their land situated at Nerkundram Village, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai District with House thereon with E.B.Connection and lying within the registration district of Chennai South and Sub Registration District of Virugambakkam, by considering their online application dated 21.02.2024.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioners submitted applications on 21.02.2024 with a request 2/4
to sub-divide their property situated at Nerkundram Village, Maduravoyal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai District with House thereon with E.B.Connection and lying within the registration district of Chennai South and Sub Registration District of Virugambakkam and issue pattas in their favour, which are pending without consideration.
4. Considering the limited relief sought for in these writ petitions, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioners dated 21.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioners' application for subdivision and issuance of patta in respect of their properties, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
