O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the second respondent to register a case on the basis of the complaint dated 29.01.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner claims to be a dealer in livestock and that he has been transporting cattle inside the state of Tamil Nadu by road and some Animal Welfare Activists are causing hindrance to the trade of the petitioner. Therefore, this petitioner has given a complaint dated 29.01.2015 to the Director General of Police to give police protection to the business of the petitioner.

4. This Court cannot ignore the fact that illegal trafficking of cattle is taking place in broad daylight in Tamil Nadu, whereby in violation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the cattle are being transported by road in dangerous https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

conditions. Therefore, no positive direction can be given as prayed for by the petitioner.

5. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is devoid of merits and accordingly dismissed.
