ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide suitable police protection to the petitioner and her husband Prashanth.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that she got married to one Eswaran in the year 1998 and they have one child by name Kishore through their wedlock.

Eswaran died on 27.01.2017 and after his death, the petitioner got married to one Prashanth on 14.03.2018. While so, it is alleged that the family members of the deceased Eswaran are harassing the petitioner for having contracted the second marriage. 3.In the opinion of this Court, widow remarriage should have to be encouraged by the instrumentalities of the State. In such view of the matter, this Court gives liberty to the petitioner to give a complaint to the 2nd respondent police and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and sufficient protection be afforded to the petitioner so that she is not harassed by anyone.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
