Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records connected with the impugned notification issued by the 2nd respondent in notification No.41/2023, dated 08.03.2023, insofar as it excludes Additional Public Prosecutors from applying to the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in the Puducherry Judicial Service alone is concerned and quash the same and consequently permit the petitioner to participate in the Selection process for recruitment to the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in the Puduchery Judicial Service.

The recruitment was for the post of District Judge (Entry Level), for Puducherry Judicial Service. Admittedly, the process of selection had already been completed.

Learned Counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioner was unsuccessful and not within the zone of consideration. 4.

Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken with reference to the grounds raised. However, the question of law raised by the petitioner is kept open.
