ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 and 29(1) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act,1985, in Crime No.1677 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.Heard both sides.
3.The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner was found in possession of 1100 grams of Ganja. Hence, a complaint has been lodged against the petitioner and a case was registered by the respondent police.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution and seeks for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that A1 and another accused was caught by the respondent police and found possession of 1100 grams of Ganja. On the statement given by A1, the petitioner was added as an accused in this case. He further submitted that investigation is still pending and the petitioner has involved in five previous cases. 6.In view of the submission of the learned Government Advocate that the petitioner has involved in five previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -sd/- 30/04/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
