This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 26.02.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries.
2. Heard Mr.V.Panjalirajan, learned counsel for petitioner and and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. The petitioner is claiming right over the subject property on the ground that this is an ancestral property and that a joint patta was issued in the name of his grandfather and other co-parceners in patta No.939. According to the petitioner, after the demise of the grandfather, the petitioner's father inherited the property and after the demise of the petitioner's father in the year 2015, the petitioner and other legal heirs inherited the property. The petitioner wanted a survey to be conducted in the subject property and hence, submitted an online application on 26.02.2024 on payment of necessary charges. Since the same was not 2/4
acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioner on 26.02.2024 and after verifying the revenue records, the survey shall be conducted in the subject property within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any rival claims, such survey shall be conducted in their presence.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
