ORDER
[This matter has been heard through video conference] This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the
petitioner dated 18.02.2021 for taking measurement of the petitioner's property in S.No.78/50 of Kumuthappalli Village, Tharappalli Panchayat, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and marking of boundaries of the property.
2. The petitioner claims to be a person belonging to schedule caste community. According to the petitioner, he had acquired a land measuring an extent of 3 cents in S.No.78/50 of Kumuthappalli village by way of settlement deed from one Nagajothi on 21.12.2009. Ever since the date of settlement, he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. While so, on 18.02.2021, he made an application to the respondents for issuance of patta in his favour. The the grievance of the petitioner is that his application for issuance of patta has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and also perused the records carefully.
4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the writ petition, this court, without going into the merits of the claim, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.02.2021 for issuance of patta and take a decision thereof on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as the other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions. No costs.
