ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been preferred seeking to set aside the order dated 06.12.2023 passed in R.No.13698 (6094/6098/23) on the file of learned Judge, Family Court, Cuddalore, returning the joint suit Page No.1 of 4

filed by the parties herein seeking dissolution of their marriage by mutual consent.

2. Today the parties as well as the learned counsel for the parties are present before this Court and a Joint Compromise Memo dated 04.07.2025, duly signed by the parties and their respective counsel has also been presented before this Court.

3. The petitioner and the respondent have expressed their voluntary consent for dissolving their marriage and also agreed on the terms of custody of the minor child, besides permanent alimony as well. The respondent/ wife also confirms that she has received a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- towards full and final alimony, for her past, present and future claims. She also confirms the deposit of Rs.5,00,000/- in the name of the minor child in a Fixed Deposit with HDFC Bank.

4. In view of the parties voluntarily coming forward to affirm that there is no chance for reconciliation and the only way forward is to accept a mutual consent divorce and also considering the fact that, this Page No.2 of 4

Court, in similar issues had invoked its power available under Article 227 of Constitution of India and dissolved the marriage between the parties by mutual consent, in order to give quietus to the dispute between the parties in similar circumstances, the Joint Compromise Memo is taken on file and the marriage solemnised between the petitioner and the respondent on 20.06.2019 is dissolved by mutual consent, in terms of the Joint Compromise Memo dated 04.07.2025 entered into between the parties.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed, dissolving the marriage of the petitioner and the respondent, solemnised on 20.06.2019 and the Joint Memo of Compromise dated 04.07.2025 shall form a part and parcel of this order.
