A.Nos.6763 to 6765 of 2016 in O.P.No.117 of 2001 K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.

The application in A.No.6763 of 2016 has been filed to discharge the Devaki, viz., the petitioner in O.P.No.117 of 2001 from the legal guardianship of S.Dinesh and the application in A.No.6764 of 2016 has been filed to declare S.Dinesh as major on account of attaining the age of majority and the application in A.No.6765 of 2016 has been filed to withdraw the one fourth share of the death-cumretirement benefit of the applicant's father alongwith interest accrued which was deposited in Fixed Deposit with Canara Bank, Perambur Branch, No.6B, Madhavaram High Road, Chennai - 600 011. 2.Learned counsel for the applicant submits that S.Dinesh born on 14.08.1994, has attained majority and in support of the same, he has filed a copy of the Transfer certificate obtained from Dharmamurthi Rao Bahadur Calavala Cunnan Chetty's Higher Secondary School, Perambur, Chennai - 11 showing the date of birth of S.Dinesh as 14.08.1994.

rgr 3.In view of the above, the application in A.No.6764 of 2016 is allowed and the applicant - S.Dinesh is declared as major. Consequently, the application in A.No.6763 of 2016 is allowed and the petitioner in OP No.117 of 2001 viz.Devaki w/o Late Mani is discharged from the guardianship.

4. Since S.Dinesh the applicant in A.No.6765 of 2016 has attained majority, he is permitted to withdraw his amount alongwith accrued interest lying in Canara Bank, Perambur Branch, No.6B, Madhavaram High Road, Chennai - 600 011.
