O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the patta No.197, in respect of Survey No. 56/2A, Chetpet, Thiruvannamalai District, by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2023

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials placed on record.

3. According to the petitioner, his paternal grandfather vide Partition Deed dated 01.10.1965, out of 6.26 cents extent in S.No.56/2, settled 3.33 cents in favour of his father Srinivasan and the remaining extent of 2.93 cents in 2/4

favour of his uncle Govindaraj. However, UDR patta was mistakenly issued to Srinivasan in respect of 2.72 cents and to Govindaraj in respect of 3.54 cents. In order to rectify the said error, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.08.2023 to the respondents 1 to 4. Since no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, he has filed the present writ petition.

Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2023 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the person in whose name the present patta stands, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
