Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.4.2018 and to receive nominations from the eligible candidates including the petitioner for the election to the Board of Directors of the 4th respondent Co-operative Society without rejecting the nomination by illegal method and to proceed with the election by free and fair manner without any illegalities and to provide police protection and permit the petitioner to take videograph of entire election process.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.4.2018 and to receive nominations from the eligible candidates including the petitioner for the election to the Board of Directors of the 4th respondent Co-operative Society without rejecting the nomination by illegal method and to proceed with the election by free and fair manner without any illegalities and to provide police protection and permit the petitioner to take videograph of entire election process.

Mr.M.S.Palanisamy, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Election Commission and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent Cooperative Society have got no objection in granting the aforesaid direction.

In view of the same, this Court directs the respondents herein to provide sufficient police protection, if necessary and also allow the petitioner to cover the entire election process through video coverage at his own cost during the election process in the 4th respondent, namely, AA.520, Veerappampalayam Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society Limited, Veerappampalayam, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District. District from the date of nomination till the date of counting.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
