Heard Mr.C.Munusamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.T.P.Saivtha, learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondents and with their consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. This writ petition has been filed by P.Stalin, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Omalur Circle, Omalur, Salem, to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 10.5.2015 within a specified time limit.

3. The petitioner claims to be one of the Directors of the K.K.238, P.N.Patty Veerakkal Pudur Primary Agricultural Co.operative Credit Society Limited and he has been elected to the said post in the election held on 10.04.2013. Subsequently, on an allegation that the President of the Society had misappropriated the funds, a complaint was given on 30.07.2014 to the authorities to take action under Rule 62 of the Rules. In this regard, the 3rd respondent has appointed the 4th respondent as Chairman of the special meeting vide Na.Ka.No.2618/2014 dated 14.08.2014. Thereafter, a specific meeting was also convened on 28.08.2014, after issuing notice to all the members of the Board including the President.

Later on, No confidence motion meeting was held and seven members have voted in favour of the motion and three members have voted against the same. Subsequently, since no action was taken, it appears that they have given a representation to the authorities on 10.05.2015 requesting them to publish the result of the no confidence motion dated 28.08.2014. But, till date, there was no response. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents sought eight weeks time to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2015.

5. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and in view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the 1st respondent is hereby directed to consider and pass order on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2015 on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
