Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose within time frame the petitioner online application dated 23.05.2019, in application No.2019/0103/03/147663 seeing transfer of patta in her name with respect to the property situated at Thiruvathur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District in Old Survey No.82 and New Survey No.82/1C2B admeasuring to an extent of 15 cents comprised in Patta No.413.

O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) According to the petitioner, originally a property in Survey No.82 and New Survey No.82/1C2B admeasuring 15 cents in Patta No.413 in Thiruvathur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District belongs to the petitioner's father, after his death, the other LRs executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner and based on that the petitioner filed an application before the respondent seeking transfer of patta in her name on 23.05.2019, but so far no order has been passed, hence she filed the present writ petition.

2. Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent will consider the said application of the petitioner and will pass suitable orders on merit.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent Tahsildar to consider the application of the petitioner in application No.2019/0103/03/147663, dated 23.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
