Regulations 51 and 55 of the Adoption Regulations, praying that the above named child Sharavanan, S/o.Mathivanan Elangovan (Male, DOB 19.03.2006) may be pleased to be given in Adoption to her and be declared as the parent of the child of the said minor child for all purposes allowed by the law and the birth certificate issuing authority Health Officer, Corporation of Chennai, may be pleased to issue Birth Certificate for the said child Sharavanan, S/o.Mathivanan Elangovan (Male, 19.03.2006) within five working days from the date of application, as provided in Regulation 36 of the Adoption Regulations. ORDER
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the prayer in this Original Petition has become infructuous. Therefore, this petition may be dismissed as infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect. 2.
The learned counsel for the respondent also submitted that the child is with the father/petitioner and attained majority and hence, the prayer in this original petition has become infructuous.

Accordingly, this Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
