ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of time to comply with the conditions imposed by this Court in its order dated 24.02.2025 passed in Crl.O.P.No.4990 of 2025, wherein the petitioners were directed to surrender before the jurisdictional Magistrate and execute sureties within fifteen days.

2. It is submitted that the certified copy of the said order was made ready only on 28.02.2025 and was received by the petitioners on 03.03.2025. It is further submitted that due to illness and physical incapacity, the petitioners were unable to comply with the said condition within the stipulated time. Hence, the present petition is filed seeking extension of time to comply with the said condition.

3. This Court is of the view that sufficient cause has not been made out for granting a blanket extension at this stage. The reasons assigned, though sympathetic, cannot be treated as a valid ground to bypass the specific time-bound direction issued by this Court, especially in the absence of any medical records or steps taken in the meantime.

4. The petitioners, instead of complying with the order within time, have now chosen to seek extension by filing the present petition after the lapse of time. Such repeated petitions cannot be entertained mechanically, as it would defeat the very purpose of imposing time-bound conditions in bail orders.

5. Accordingly, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as prayed for. However, the petitioners are at liberty to work out their remedy before the appropriate Court in the manner known to law. 10.06.2025 r n s Index : Yes/No Speaking Order : Yes/No 3 / 5
