ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.2.2014 to withdraw the acquisition proceedings in respect of S.No.41/9* in Madur Village, Kallakurichi, Villupuram District.

Mr.V. Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and has filed counter of the respondents, wherein, the respondents have stated that in the impugned accusation proceedings, the Award was passed on 22.07.1997 in Award No.2/97-98 and since the land owner has not come to get the compensation amount, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

it was deposited in the Revenue Deposit on 24.2.1998. Further, the respondents have stated that the land was acquired for expansion of High Way Road, as such, 393 sq.meters have been acquired from ADW. 3.

Now, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 11.2.2014. 4.

Though the respondents have stated in the counter that they have passed the Award on 22.7.1997, they have not passed any order in the representation of the petitioner dated 11.2.2014. Therefore, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.2.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of a receipt of copy of this order.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
