Mr.L.Baskaran Government Advocate (Crl.Side) COMMON ORDER Since the issue involved and the relief sought in all these petitions are identical in nature, the same were heard together and decided by this common order.

2. Today, when these matters were taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner in all the cases served the sentence of Simple Imprisonment of 6 months and was also released from the prison. Therefore, he submitted that nothing survives for further adjudication in these petitions.

3. Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police, submitted that while the trial was pending, the petitioner was allowed to retire from service as a Junior Assistant.

4. It is also submitted that due to the pendency of these criminal revision cases, the petitioner's retirement benefits and other benefits have not been considered so far.

5. Since the petitioner had served the entire awarded sentence, the relief sought in these petitions has become infructuous.

6. Accordingly, these Criminal Revision Cases are dismissed as infructuous, granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum.
