By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings passed by the third respondent Tahsildar by rejecting and returning petitioner's Application No. TN- 2720251209115 dated 09.12.2025 and to quash the same and consequently directing the third respondent to grant her Deserted Women Certificate. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband deserted the petitioner in the year 2008 and she lodged complaint before the All Women Police Station W-19, Adayar, Chennai and the same has been assigned CSR No.153/W19/10 dated 14.08.2010. The petitioner applied for 2/5

Deserted Destituted Wives Pension Scheme and the same was sanctioned by the Tahsildar Mylai - Triplicane Taluk vide proceedings dated 22.11.2008. The petitioner also applied for Destituted Widow Certificate and vide impugned order the same was returned. The learned counsel further submitted that except CSR copy, no other document is available to prove that the petitioner's husband deserted her.

4.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner should obtain order from the competent Court with regard to the civil death of the petitioner's husband since he is not available for more than 15 years and further submitted that without any proof, the third respondent have no power to issue Destituted Widow Certificate. 5.In view of the above, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to produce necessary documents before the third respondent to prove that the petitioner's husband has deserted the petitioner. Upon production of such documents by the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to consider the same and to pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
