Prayer: Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for a direction to the respondent-police to give police protection to the petitioner's life and the property for the purpose of construction of Milk Vending Booth, which is required for the welfare of the general public.

For Petitioner : Ms.N.Gowri For Respondents-1 to 3 : Mr.S.Udaya Kumar, Government Advocate (Criminal Side).

O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking protection to the life and property of the petitioner herein.

2. According to the petitioner, she is the President of Women Milk Producers' Cooperative Society, Mazhavarayanallur and when she attempted to constructed Milk Vending Booth in the area allotted by the Government, same was objected by others due to business rivalry.

Therefore, the petitioner herein seeks police protection for her and for the construction made by her for Milk Vending Shelter.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, submits that upon the complaint given by the petitioner, case has been registered in Crime No.126 of 2023 on 19.03.2023 and there is no complaint of any threat to her life or property thereafter.

4. Recording the abovesaid submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, the present Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-police to complete the investigation and file Final Report, within a period of two months. In case, any need for protection is sought for by the petitioner herein, the respondent-police shall proceed the same based on the necessity.

5. With the above directions, the present Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
