ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.03.2022, at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 7, 9(2) of COTPA Act read with Section 328 of IPC in crime no.262 of 2022 seeks bail.

2. The petitioner herein along with other accused were found in huge possession of 40 bags of banned tobacco items. The value of banned tobacco alleged to have been Rs.4,38,450/- and it is further alleged that one of the accused is still absconding. 3.

Taking note of the quantity of contraband alleged to have been possessed and transported by the petitioner and also considering the abscondence of other accused, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
