The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to publish the seniority list of Assistant Geologist taking into consideration of the marks secured by the respective candidates in the Page No.2 of 5

examination conducted in pursuant to the notification No.2 of 2012 dated 02.04.2012 issued by the third respondent in conformity in the judgment of the Hon'ble Division Bench made in W.P.No.998 of 2017 dated 15.11.2019 in the case of K.Raja and other Vs. the Additional Chief Secretary to Government and others and then proceed with the promotion to the post of Assistant Director of Geology within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has been granted to the petitioner. Hence, the matter has become infructuous and nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication. He also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

3. In view of the above submission coupled with an endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
