Prayer : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu to dispose of the Sessions Case in S.C.No.44 of 2016 within the time frame work to be stipulated by this Court. This petition has been filed by the accused persons to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu to dispose of the case in S.C.No.44 of 2016 at early.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are facing trial for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 447, 294 (b), 506 (ii) IPC r/w. Section 34 IPC and Section 4 of TN PP D & L Act. He further submitted that the first petitioner is a senior citizen and he is regularly appearing before the trial Court for the past two years, but no progress has been made in the case and hence, he requests to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

direct the trial Court to dispose of the aforesaid case at early.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that originally the case was pending before the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu and subsequently it was transferred to learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu and that was the reason for pending of the aforesaid case.

4. Considering the submissions, the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in S.C.No.44 of 2016 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, this petition is disposed of.
