ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 05.01.2024. 1/4

2. When the matter came up for hearing, since there was no representation for the petitioner, the matter was passed over. Even in the afternoon, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. It can be seen that the petitioner was dismissed from service based on a conviction in a Criminal Case. Now, it is the case of the petitioner that his sentence has been suspended. It can be seen from the order, dated 21.09.2022 in Crl.M.P.No.14703 of 2022 in Crl.O.P.No.1094 of 2022 that only the sentence alone is suspended and the conviction is not stayed. In that view of the matter, the petitioner has rightly been dismissed from the service on account of the conviction in the Criminal Case for an offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

4. Therefore, finding no merits, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
