ORDER

The petitioner is the wife. The respondent is the husband. The respondent/husband filed G.O.P.No.101 of 2014 on the file of the Family Court, Puducherry. The petitioner has filed this petition to transfer the case to Chennai as she resides in Chennai along with minor child.

2.Though notice was served on the respondent, he has not chosen to enter appearance.

3. In the matrimonial disputes, preference should be given to the convenience of the wife as to the place of hearing. Hence, I am of the view that G.O.P.No.101 of 2014 pending on the file of the Family Court, Puducherry has to be transferred to the file of Family Court, Chennai.

4.In the result, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and the learned Judge, Family Court, Puducherry is directed to transfer the petition in G.O.P.No.101 of 2014, if the same is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
