O R D E R
The FIR is that the petitioner had taken his mother in his two wheeler bearing registration no. TN 15 MA 7384; that the petitioner's mother felt giddy and fell off the bike when the petitioner crossed a speed breaker. Thereafter, the petitioner's mother succumbed to the injuries. The defacto complainant is the father of the petitioner.
2. Today, when the matter was called, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the parties have arrived at a compromise and the second respondent has decided to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and has no objection for quashing of the same on the basis of the compromise.
3. Both the parties are present today and have signed the Joint Memorandum of Compromise. Mr. P.Sendhil Kumar, Grade I Police Constable, Ulundurpet Police Station, Kallakurichi District, who has appeared before this Court has identified the parties. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings on the file of the 1st respondent Police 2/5
pending. Hence, the impugned F.I.R is quashed. The said Joint Memo of Compromise is taken on record and shall form part of the order.
4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
