Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and take appropriate action on representations dated 23.08.2017 and 03.10.2017 submitted by the petitioner and thereby direct them to issue "Free House Patta" for the petitioners house situated at No.2, Pillaiyar Koil Street, Sandaipudhukuppam, Puducherry - 605 502.

Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Government Pleader (P) takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the respondents to consider her representations dated 23.08.2017 & 03.10.2017, wherein and whereby she sought for issuance of Free House site Patta to her house situated at No.2, Pillaiyar Koil Street, Sandaipudhukuppam, Puducherry-605 502.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representations have not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the fourth respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the fourth respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 23.08.2017 and 03.10.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the fourth respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
