This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue Family Card to the petitioner, viz., G.Selladurai, son of Govindasamy, Door No.50, West Street, Rayappanur Village, Melnariyappanur Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District, as per the application submitted on 30.01.2012 in petitioner Application No.223/2012 and also based on his representation dated 26.04.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The case of the petitioner is that he is the permanent resident of Door No.50, West Street, Rayappanur Village, Melnariyappanur Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District. He made an application to the 2nd respondent on 30.01.2012 to issue a new Family Card to him along with the necessary enclosures.
Since no orders have been passed in that application, the petitioner sent a representation dated 26.04.2016 to the respondents. The same has also not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 26.04.2016.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the merits of this matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 26.04.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. No costs.
